Equality
Mapperley Plains Primary School is committed to promoting equality, inclusion and fairness for all children, staff and members of our community. We aim to remove barriers to learning, participation and achievement so that every child has equal access to opportunities and support.
Understanding Our School Community
We use school data to understand the needs of our children and to identify any potential barriers linked to protected characteristics. This includes information relating to ethnicity, language, disability, gender, religion and eligibility for free school meals.
Data is reviewed regularly to consider patterns and trends in:
Admissions and attendance
Attainment and progress
Participation in school life and enrichment
Behaviour, rewards and sanctions
Prejudice-related incidents
Representation in pupil voice groups
Information relating to protected characteristics not appropriate for primary-aged children is not collected.
