School Uniform

We expect all children from Foundation 2 to Year 6 to wear school uniform. Our uniform is designed to be simple, practical and affordable. Children in Nursery, Foundation 1, are not required to wear school uniform. They should attend in comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor learning and messy play.
What children should wear
Our school uniform consists of:
a navy-blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan
a white or navy-blue polo shirt
grey or navy-blue tailored trousers or shorts
a grey or navy-blue knee-length skirt or pinafore
a blue gingham summer dress
plain socks or plain dark-coloured tights
black shoes that are safe and suitable for school
Sweatshirts, jumpers and cardigans may be plain or display the Mapperley Plains school logo. Logo items are optional and suitable unbranded alternatives can be purchased from any retailer.
PE kit
Children should have:
a white or navy-blue T-shirt
navy-blue shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms
trainers for outdoor activities
optional plimsolls for indoor activities
PE kit does not need to display the school logo.
Jewellery and appearance
Jewellery should not be worn, except for small stud earrings and watches. Earrings must be removed or covered for PE.
Make-up and nail varnish should not be worn. Long hair should be tied back where required for safety.

Parents and carers are not required to purchase branded uniform.
Second-hand uniform and financial support
Second-hand uniform is available directly from school for a small donation. It is available to both current and prospective families.
Please contact the school office to request an item. Requests will be handled sensitively and discreetly. Families experiencing difficulty with the cost of uniform are also encouraged to contact the school office. Support will be provided confidentially.
