Mobile Phone Consent Form
We understand that some children may need to bring a mobile phone or smart device to school, particularly if they walk to and from school independently.
Mobile phones and smart devices are permitted in school only under the following conditions:
Devices must be switched off on arrival at school.
Devices must not be kept in children’s bags during the school day.
Devices must be handed to the class teacher at registration and will be returned at the end of the school day.
Devices will be stored securely in a locked location during the school day.
Devices must not be switched on or used anywhere on the school site, including toilets, playgrounds and corridors.
If a child is found using a mobile phone or smart device during the school day, the device will be confiscated and a parent or carer will be required to collect it from the school office. Continued misuse may result in the withdrawal of permission for the child to bring a device to school.
The school takes reasonable steps to store devices securely; however, mobile phones and smart devices are brought to school at the owner’s risk.
If you would like your child to bring a mobile phone or smart device to school, please complete the Mobile Phone and Smart Device Consent Form.
